Fall in love with Russo Estate for your Rustic Wedding

Russo Estate is a picturesque winey set on acres, the vineyard and the venue make for a perfect rustic wedding location for your special day.

Where is Russo Estate situated?

Russo Estate Winey is a beautiful rustic style venue that caters to several functions, including weddings.

Tucked away, just behind Plumpton in the outer Melbourne region.  This beautiful winey estate is found at 760-818 Holdern Road, Diggers Rest, Victoria.

Can you have a wedding ceremony at Russo Estate Winery?

Not only are you able to have your wedding reception at Russo Estate, but the venue also has some locations on the estate for you to have your ceremony.

The Four Tier Waterfall is a beautiful backdrop to stand in front of your ceremony.  While the calming sound of water flows down the rock formation wall

The Bridal Arch is one of the more popular places that couples choose for their ceremony.  Made from two tall trees, and a half log, the arch also has a paved brick area to stand with white roses planted either side, which looks fabulous during the blooming period from October to May.  And to top it off, it also is opposite the waterfall, which makes for an excellent feature for the ceremony.

The Horseshoe Arch is set on red gravel sounded by rocks and white roses.  With the central part of the arch made from an iron frame.  Your florist will be able to arrange flowers across the front of it to match your bouquet.

Under the gum tree is a beautiful grass filled area for your guests to be seated and standing.  Allowing them to watch you tie the knot under the enormous gum tree.  The tree its self looks fantastic as is or can have chiffon throws or décor hanging from the branches.

The outlook is also a great indoor option for your wedding ceremony.  This makes for a good back up plan if you want to have your service during the unpredictable months such as September, November, and March.

But if you are looking for a winter wedding, The outlook is excellent to use to stay warm and dry.

Russon estate is also able to supply you with Red Carpet and 40 white American chairs for your guests that need to be seated.  And there is also plenty of room for guests to stand during the ceremony.

Along with a wine barrel table for the wedding certificate signing.

What is available for the wedding reception?

Round Tables that seat up to 12 guests, along with comfortable material covered chairs will be set up for your reception.  As well as white linen table cloths, white linen napkins, cutlery, and glasses.

White chair covers are available for hire if you would like them covered.  But depending on the look you are going for, the chairs uncovered complements the look.

For the bridal table, 1.8-metre trestle tables are used and connected together to seat the correct number within your bridal party.

The venue also has wine barrel tables that can be set up for your gift or wishing well table, as well as your cake table and guest book signing table.

A Welcome board is also available for use if you want to have one to welcome your guests with a beautiful sign upon arrival.

Highchairs are available upon request for if children are attending, and they require one.  These also fit nicely around the tables.

A dance floor space can be created in the larger reception areas, and there is even a spot for the DJ to set up where they can oversee the dance floor.

Pre-reception canapes are also available so that your guests can have something to snack on while you are getting your photos taken.

An open bar is available if you want your guests to be able to grab a drink before the reception or ceremony starts.  And you can set a tab at the bar with a fixed amount and certain beverages available.  Anything outside of what is set guests will need to pay for themselves.

And if you are not looking at using the whole venue, there is a partition that will separate your reception from the main restaurant area.

My experience at Russo Estate

On the 16th of November 2019.  I helped plan and coordinate a wedding for a fantastic couple, Narrelle and Steven, at Russo estate.

I worked alongside Vannessa and the other staff members of Russo estate to help make their wedding day perfect.

During the lead up to the big day, Vanessa and the rest of the staff were terrific to work with.  There was constant communication, not just with me, but with the bride as well.  Making sure everyone was on the same page and making sure they met the needs of the couple.

On the day of.  The staff was always friendly, smiling and only too happy to help with anything I needed to be done or that the couple needed.

I also got the honour of being able to experience some of the food.  And well, I can honestly say it was absolutely delicious.  I had a meat dish that just fell off the bone and melted in my mouth.  Now I am not a big red meat eater, mainly because I’m not a fan of medium-rare meat.  But I ate the entire thing just because it tasted so amazing.

I do highly recommend Russo Estate for any couple that is after a rustic style wedding or even just looking to have their special day at a winey.
