When you are right at the start of planning your special day, it can be overwhelming to work out what wedding suppliers you need for your wedding.

To help you out here is a list of all the different types of wedding suppliers that you can hire or purchase from.  Along with what they do.

What is the role of a Wedding Planner?

If you are looking to get help with your wedding plans, then you need to hire a wedding planner.  The role of a wedding planner is actually more than meets the eye.

They are not just there to help you book your venue and your wedding suppliers.  But they are there for finical support and advice to help you save money, as well and be your support throughout the entire wedding planning process.

The importance of a Wedding Celebrant

The wedding celebrant is the most important wedding supplier that you need to contact in order to get married, as they will be the one performing the ceremony.

Your celebrant will help you with everything you need to do and get your Notice of Intended Marriage form sorted with you also.  Remember you need that paperwork signed and lodged before you can get married.

Why is a Wedding Venue near the top of the list?

There are different options when it comes to choosing your venue, and this comes down to the type of wedding you are having, the kind of budget you have and what you envision for your wedding.

Now a Wedding venue is not just for your reception, there are quite a lot of places that you can hold your ceremony and reception in the same location.  Be sure to do your research and look around to see what is available to you, especially if you want both in the same location.

The Benefits of having Wedding Photography

Your wedding photographer is another important supplier you need to book.  But again, this depends on your budget for your wedding.

What I will tell you though, having a professional taking photo on the day is one thing you should always try to budget for.  They will not only get the photos you want but will capture them beautifully.

Most Photographers now will give you digital images either via a gallery for you to download or via USB, a wedding album with photos in it, along with prints of your photos.

Advantages of having a Wedding Videography

Having your wedding filmed in my opinion is a must, but I understand it is not for everyone.

A videographer can capture not only the big moments but the little a special moment that you did not see.   Such as the Flower Girl sitting on Gran’s lap feeding her cake, or capturing a video guest book from your guests.

If you are also having a photographer there are quite a lot of suppliers that offer both photography and videography as a combined service.  Which can also save you money as well.

The convenience of a DJ at your wedding reception.

A DJ is my personal preference and it can actually be quite convenient to have a DJ for your music, not only do they have an MC service.  But they will be able to cater to all different types and styles of music you want to be played at your wedding.

Not to mention there are quite a lot of DJ’s now that offer other entertainment and wow factors to your reception as well.

The other services that some DJ’s offer are mirror photobooths, dry ice and indoor and/or outdoor fireworks.

Considering having a Band or Singers at your wedding.

If your personal preference is a Band or Signers at your wedding, there plenty available and they do all kinds of music to suit your taste, from country to rock all those in between.

But be sure to have other music sorted with your venue as Bands and Singers need breaks and you do not want dead silence at your reception.

What Wedding Transport is available?

When you are looking for transportation to and from your wedding, there are quite a few choices that you have to pick from.

Cars are the most popular and depending on the style of your wedding there are so many different types available to suit your wedding.  Here is a list of just some:

Finding a wedding cake supplier is pretty easy, and you most likely will find there is one quite close to you or near the venue you have chosen.  Just make sure you have had a look at their work to see if you are happy with the quality of their cakes.

Some couples can be a little unsure as to what kind of cake to have and to how it should look.

Here is a little advice on how to choose your wedding cake.

Firstly, think about the type of cake you and your partner like to eat, is it mud, butter cake or maybe red velvet.

Once you have worked out what you like.  Jump on Pinterest and do a search on wedding cakes.  Pick a design you like. Don’t worry about the colour of the cake in the picture, try to imagine it in the colours you have chosen for your wedding.

Lastly, go to whoever you have chosen to make your cake.  Show them the cake and tell them how many people it is to feed.

What kind of Wedding Attire do I need?

So much has changed over the years in regards to what you have to wear.  Back in the day, it was all about the white dress and the black suits.  But now there are more creativity and colours that are being warn by the Brides and the Grooms.

When selecting your wedding attire for you, your partner and the rest of the bridal party.  Have a think about the style of wedding you are having, the colours you have chosen and take the weather into account.

Also consider where you are having your wedding.  Is it indoors or outdoors?  Maybe in a glamorous venue or on a beach.  All these aspects will help you determine the type of attire you and your bridal party need to wear.

Stationer is not a common term that gets used very often, but did you know that a Stationer is actually the person that does your wedding invitations and stationery.

There is so much more entertainment you can add to your wedding now for your guests and children who are attending a wedding.

Photobooths are still quite popular and there are many different kinds around.  But what else it there if you do not want a Photobooth?

A few of these are Giant Lawn Games, Jumping Castles and Magicians.

But now even the first dances and the bridal parties are creating entertainment for the guests, by creating amazing dance performances.

I ideas of what you can have are endless and if you are looking for something different or unique to entertain your guests you may find what you are looking for.

Do you need to hire Caters for your wedding?

If you are having your wedding at a location where there is no catering offered, then you will need to hire a cater.

There are a few different types that you can look at getting depending on what you want to serve your guests.

Ones that supply buffet are great for those still wanting to give your guests a 2 or 3-course meal.

Grazing tables are big at the moment.  And there are a few suppliers of this type of service around.  This gives your guests an area to go up a grab food from.  Food such as cheese, fruit and other platters are usually used for grazing tables.

Finger food services are wonderful for if you want a variety of different foods available for your guests.  Foods such as mini pizzas, quiches, kababs and more can available. Depending on the cater you go through.

Other Hire and wedding supplier Options.

There are some many other hire services that are available for a couple when they are planning their wedding.

Doves for your ceremony can put a beautiful touch to the end.

Balloons can be added to your décor, such as balloon arches, or added to an arch.

Tables, chairs and marquees, along with plates, glasses, cutlery can be hired if you need them.  And don’t forget the linen hire also.

Some event hire places can have wishing wells.  But there are also suppliers of just wishing wells, and they usually have a great variety available to choose from
